Still to confirm
These points are not yet settled. They are listed here rather than filled with guesses, and will be completed before launch.
- The analytics and marketing tools actually in use, named individually
- Registered company name and ICO registration number
- The cookie banner's full list, which must match what the site really loads
Section 1
What we collect
- 1.1 To take your order
- Your name, delivery address, email address and phone number. Without these we cannot take payment or get the parcel to you.
- 1.2 Payment details
- We never see or store your full card number, expiry or security code. Payment is processed by our payment provider; we receive only a confirmation and the last four digits.
- 1.3 If you contact us
- The message you send and our replies, kept so the next person who helps you can see the history.
- 1.4 How you use the site
- Basic analytics about pages visited and devices used. The exact tools are to be confirmed before launch and will be listed here and in the cookie banner.
Section 2
Why we are allowed to use it
UK GDPR requires a lawful basis for every use of your data. Here is ours, purpose by purpose.
- 2.1 Performing our contract
- Processing your order, taking payment, arranging delivery and handling returns. Without this data there is no order.
- 2.2 Legal obligation
- Keeping order and VAT records for as long as UK tax law requires, currently six years.
- 2.3 Legitimate interests
- Preventing fraud, keeping the site working, and improving what we sell. We only rely on this where your rights do not override it.
- 2.4 Consent
- Marketing email and non-essential cookies, and only if you actively opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything else.
Section 3
Marketing
- 3.1 Only if you ask for it
- We add you to the email list only if you tick the box. Buying from us does not automatically sign you up.
- 3.2 Unsubscribing
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe that works immediately, or email hello@movelyra.co.uk and we will do it for you.
- 3.3 We do not sell your data
- Your details are never sold, rented or traded to another company for their own marketing. Not now, not later.
Section 4
Who else sees it
- 4.1 Our suppliers
- The payment provider, the courier, our email and hosting providers. Each one gets only what it needs to do its job, and is contractually bound to protect it.
- 4.2 Outside the UK
- Some providers operate outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the UK government's adequacy rules or on standard contractual clauses.
- 4.3 Law enforcement
- Only where we are legally required to, and we will tell you unless the law prevents us.
Section 5
How long we keep it
- 5.1 Order records
- Six years after the order, to meet UK tax and accounting rules.
- 5.2 Support messages
- Three years, so we can look back on a warranty claim.
- 5.3 Marketing contacts
- Until you unsubscribe, then we keep a minimal record of the fact you opted out so we do not email you again by mistake.
Section 6
Your rights
All of these are free to use. Email us and we will action them within one month.
- 6.1 See your data
- Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
- 6.2 Correct it
- Have anything inaccurate fixed.
- 6.3 Delete it
- Ask us to erase it, where we are not legally required to keep it, such as tax records.
- 6.4 Restrict or object
- Ask us to pause or stop a particular use, including profiling.
- 6.5 Take it with you
- Receive your data in a portable format, or have it sent onward.
- 6.6 Complain
- If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first, but the right is yours either way.
